Several big names are up for grabs on the player meat market this season. But they don't come any bigger then Oberon Tigers captain, Cheyne Tickle.

While headline heroes likes Anasta, Folau, Merritt, Webb and Tonga will garnish several offers in the city, head out to the Group 10 competition in Central West NSW and Tickle is the most dominant name being talked about right now.

A former player for North Sydney in Jersey Flegg, Tickle kicked off his career in Group-10 with Bathurst St-Pats before heading over to Oberon in 2006.

Could this Mark O'Meley look-a-like be about to put ink to paper with a third Group 10 club? It's feasible.

The representative star for Western Division in the 2006 AAMI Country Divisional Championship has held talks with Lithgow Workies and former club Bathurst St-Pats yet he hasn't ruled out returning to play for the Tigers in first division either.

With he and and his wife expecting a second child early next season, this star won't have his eye on the ball for a while, giving him plenty of time to look at his future options.

He could take a year off, a frightening proposition for clubs who are desperate to turn their form around next season. Talent like Tickle can be hard to find at short notice in the bush.

And what about if an NRL club came chasing and tickled Cheyne away from the bush?

Now that could be worse then taking a year off.
