Harbour League gave the Canterbury Bulls an unwanted home defeat in the Bartercard Cup on Sunday.

The Northerners returned to Auckland with their fifth win of the season, beating last year's beaten grand finalists 28-22.

The other four matches produced clearcut victories, especially in Palmerston North where competition leaders the Auckland Lions swamped the Central Falcons 84-0.

In Auckland, the second-placed Tamaki Titans trounced the Waicoa Bay Stallions 60-28, scoring 10 tries with each one converted by captain Willie Heta. He also scored three of the tries to finish with 32 points.
