Castleford Tigers halfback Brent Sherwin has taken out an unforgettable award to add to his football CV: worst import in the 2008 English Super League.




The former
Canterbury-Bankstown star won the highly coveted award care of an English
magazine’s poll of deeply sensitive and overtly caring rugby league supporters.



His
current club like his former one finished at the bottom of the competition
ladder this season meaning Sherwin was inevitably going to come in for a rough
landing.



"Shifty" as
he’s affectionately known amongst fans and peers has yet to make an acceptance
speech on winning one of rugby league’s most recognized gongs.



According
to the same poll the three best Australians in Super League this season were
Matt Gidley (St Helens), Adam Mogg (Les Catalans) and Ryan McGoldrick
