St Helens. A mighty team one week, fallen warriors the next. That is the official verdict after the reigning ESL premiers were dethroned 14-6 at the hands of the London Broncos on Friday.

Raging favourites to win back to back Super League titles, St Helens were left grasping for answers as Brian McDermott's Broncos headed for the capital with two precious Super League points.

It was a dream start for the Broncos, a victory that will send a shockwave through Super League, and a performance based on months of hard work.

Scoring tries for the visitors were Danny Orr on his Quins RL debut, Lee Hopkins and Jon Wells.

St Helens, the entertainers of Super League, were limited to just a solitary try on their own snow-laden pitch.
