Raiders supporters remain impressed with how their team is traveling in 2007 despite witnessing their side get ripped apart 26-0 against Cronulla last night.

Playing in similar conditions to what their used to at Toyota Park, the generous visitors thanked the Sharks for their hospitality by handing them a walk in the park.

Veteran Raiders fan Nava Gunawin told GRL he was most pleased with his side’s loss.

“Every a…hole in the media thought we were going to be beaten by 80 points tonight.

We proved everyone wrong by only getting beaten 26-0.

Sure a win would’ve been nice, even a little bit flattering.

But sometimes exceeding people’s expectations is just as important as getting the two-points and I think we successfully aimed up in that department.”

However not all members of the green and white brigade were impressed by the “inept” showing of their side.

“Could they have not kicked a bloody field goal?,a source told GRL.

“I would have thought that one-point would’ve given the side more confidence heading into round 7 instead of none.”

The Raiders will travel to Penrith Stadium next weekend where they’ll probably help former coach Mathew Elliot end his 3-match losing streak.

GRL understands that following last night’s impressive showing, there is talk of a street parade being organised in honour of the Raiders.
