Steve Turner, the greatest player never to play for the Gold Coast, could be in for an angry reception from the Titans this weekend.

According to Titans CEO Michael Searle in today’s Daily Telegraph, Turner might have to expect “a bit of treatment.”

Those comments however didn’t impress Storm coach Craig Bellamy who quickly fired a verbal torpedo of his own.

“They can go as hard as they like.”

Turner was involved in a contractual tug-of-war over several months after deciding to stay in Melbourne despite verbally agreeing to head to the Gold Coast.

The dispute was resolves last month with Turner told he could stay in tram city in exchange for two junior players – Smith Samau and Daniel Issac.
