Eels forward Nathan Hindmarsh has warned club fans that his presence in the Parramatta line-up on Friday night may not be enough to help his side score their first win of the new season.

Named in the squad yesterday which will play the Wests Tigers at Parramatta Stadium in round 3, the Test star told a Sydney newspaper he would not be the Eels ‘miracle cure.’

Without several of their key players on the field, the blue and gold soldiers have gone down to both the Warriors and the Rabbitohs.

However this week they play another team also winless and who the Eels have a good record against at home.

Hindmarsh – who missed the first two rounds due to arthritis in his foot – gave great comfort to blue and gold supporters, assuring them they won’t see too many tries from the second-rower but that he would “try” to play his best.

The return of Nathan marks a family reunion as this will also be the first time he teams up with brother Ian since 2001.

Also returning from injury a week after he declared he is interested in playing Rugby Union is star winger Eric Grothe who will provide some much needed intensity in attack. - Read More, Here
