Rugby League is the best value major spectator sport in
the UK compared to Soccer and Rugby Union.That’s according to a new survey commissioned
by rugby league sponsors The Co-operative.

Results from the research showed that the average
cheapest admission fee for engage Super League matches is £17.34, compared to
£20 in the Guinness Premiership and £29.75 in the Barclays Premier League.



The figures also revealed the cheapest adult season ticket in Super League is
£193.85, compared to £212.42 in the Premiership and £436.22 in the Premier
League.



Further statistics provided by leading sports statistics company Opta highlighted
that in Super League, the ball stays in play for an average of 50 to 55 minutes
during an 80-minute match, compared to 30 to 35 minutes in rugby union.
