Manly-Warringah remain the benchmark for the other 15 teams in the NRL competition after sailing home 13-10 against New Zealand on Sunday afternoon.

The Sea Eagles have now conceded only 32-points this season – an average of 8 per game – indicating that the off-season defensive work is doing wonders for the club.

Some things however have not changed at Brookvale Oval for the better. According to one Sydney newspaper, fans were still lining up to get into the ground 25-minutes after the game kicked-off.

According to Dean Ritchie from the Daily Telegraph, “the ground’s old charm was ruined by an overzealous ground announcer.”

For the Warriors it was a disappointing loss after leading 6-0 at half-time yet it only confirmed that to go far in the NRL this season you have to be able to play for 80 minutes.

The for and against could have been a lot worse for New Zealand at the end of round 4 however after Manly had four tries disallowed.
