The Manly Sea Eagles star recruit Jamie Lyon will make his debut for
the club in the official trial against the Melbourne Storm at Quad Park
on the Sunshine Coast on Saturday, February 24.

Manly coach Des
Hasler confirmed today that Lyon would take part in the trial against
the Storm and then back up the following week in a trial against the
Cowboys in Cairns.

Hasler said it was important to give Lyon
some game time with his new team mates. "Jamie has been impressive at
training and is keen to get some trial time - he won't play the full
trial against the Storm but he will be one the field," Hasler said.

Hasler
refuses to name the position he will trial Lyon but it is expected he
will get time at both five eighth and centre. A five eighth appearance
could pit him against Storm star Greg Inglis who will wear the number
six for the Storm in 2007.

Manly will take a full strength squad
of 25 to Quad Park at Kawana Waters on the Sunshine Coast for the
trial. The side will spend a full week in Caloundra at a training camp
before playing in the Saturday trial. The team is eager to meet up with
Queensland based supporters during the week.
