Oberon firmed themselves as favourites to win the wooden spoon in 2007 following their 66-6 routing at the hands of Bathurst in round 3 of the Group Ten competition.

Down 32-6 by half-time, Oberon captain-coach Cheyne Tickle described his side’s performance as embarrassing

“We've got a really young team, we're not very experienced and we were just outclassed,” Tickle said.

“We're embarrassed ... we don't want this to happen again so that's one thing we will take out of it."

Bathurst Panthers winger Nathan Rollinson however had nothing to be embarrassed about, scoring a hat-trick of tries in each half.

The 14 tries to one loss means Oberon have now conceded 188-points inside their opening three fixtures.

GRL’s Man of the Match award goes to centre Mick Gibbons who gave the Tigers the only highlight of their trip to Carrington Park when he scored in the 25th minute.

In other point-scoring smashings last weekend, Port City hammered Wauchope 60-2 in Group 3, Cobar pounded Wellington 80-20 in Group 11 while Armidale destroyed Tingha 56-22 in Group 19.
