Former Great Britain and Wigan Warriors star Jason Robinson is one of three Rugby League personalities to recieve an award in the Queens New Year Honours List.

Robinson - who defected to Rugby Union in 2000 - played 313 first grade games for both Wigan (286) and Hunslet (27) while also winning 12 caps for Great Britain and 7 for England in international rugby league.

Roger Harrison, secretary and head coach of Widnes Schools Rugby League Association, recieved an MBE for services to school sport while leading businessman Jack Tordoff was acknowledged for services to business and sport in Bradford.

Rugby Football League Executive Chairman Richard Lewis paid tribute to all three blokes.

"Jason Robinson will certainly go down as one of the best players ever in both codes of Rugby and it is fantastic that his achievements have earned him an OBE.

"Roger Harrison is a true unsung hero of the game who has done a huge amount in developing Rugby League in the North-West.

"Jack Tordoff has also done much for the sport, especially in Bradford, where his company has played a major part in the recent success of Bradford Bulls through their long term support for the club." - Read More, Here
