GRL has been inundated with footy fans asking us why the Power of Ten was given any air time while the Jim Beam Cup has remained off our TV screens.
A sensible question indeed if you are an expert when it comes to spotting quality football deserving of a place in the free-to-air or Pay TV program guide.
And you the fans are right.

No TV coverage of the Jim Beam Cup would be as outrageous as Australia’s Naughtiest Home Videos being pulled off the air in 1992.
However I am pleased to stay that after some extensive investigative journalism (I simply fired off an email and got my answer within a couple of hours), there is no need to look for the tissues to dry your tears.
Why?
Because the Jim Beam Cup IS returning to television in 2008.
Once again Power Productions Sports Television will be producing the program for the New South Wales Rugby League.
Coverage re-commences on May 7 and it will run for 23 consecutive weeks every Wednesday at 5pm on on Fox Sports.

But WAIT! There is even MORE good news.
The VB Cup will also be televised as well with the two competitions rotating on the same program. Talk about getting all you can watch.
For those of you fans who attend a VB cup or a Jim Beam Cup game every weekend rain, hail or cyclone, there is a great publication you should support.
Rugby League News is the official programme of the New South Wales Rugby League and it features comprehensive match reports, player profiles, team line-ups and an around the grounds section to keep you abreast of what’s happening with VB Cup teams.
It is available to buy at NSWRL games for only $3.00
Or you can subscribe to it (which is what I do) and have all 32 issues delivered to your door by a nice, hardworking postman for only $129.
