Parramatta Eels five-eighth Brett Finch has been voted as the ‘biggest sook in the game’ in the 2007 Rugby League Week Players’ Poll.

Finch – who previously played for the Raiders (99-02) and the Sydney Roosters (2003-06) – won the poll with only 14 votes out of 100.

This was an improvement for Finch who last year won the same poll outright with 34 votes. This season it seems he had some competition meaning he is very close to shaking off the tag.

Dragons hooker Simon Woolford was this year’s runner up with 10 votes while Finch’s halves partner Tim Smith came in third also on 10 votes.

Other players who were given credit for sooking in the game by their peers included Luke Priddis (10), Matt Orford (9) and Paul Gallen (7).
Meanwhile Brian Smith was once again voted as the coach players would least like to be coached by while Jamie Lyon was named as the most over-rated player of 2007.

The poll it seems brought out the creative side in some of it's critics.

" Don't get me wrong, I love the RLW annual players poll," admitted the GRL traitor.

" But I still think there are a few more polls that need to be added.

"I mean if we really want to go deep into important issues, let's ask players questions like which star has the worst hygiene habits or which player would most likely bore people as a media commentator?"
