Parramatta earn't the title of party poopers on Monday night after ending the Tigers 6-game winning streak with a strong 34-8 win at Telstra Stadium.

Leading 16-2 at the break after watching former teammate and Tigers captain Brett Hodgson kick his team to a 2-nil lead early in the game, the Eels used some excellent second phase play to score two quick tries to remain in the winners circle.

Captain Nathan Cayless - who dropped the ball in his own in-goal at the kick -off - spoke of his side interpreting Hodgson's decision to take the two points so early in the game as a 'sign of respect' for the Parramatta defence.

The Eels have now beaten Wests Tigers in both games played between the two sides this season.
