Country restored pride in rural Australia on Saturday after defeating City 25-18 in Saturday’s representative match in Clermont, Central Queensland.

Country scored four tries to three to steal the honours.

Both sides were 12-all at half time before the City Slickers led 18-12 early in the second half.

Country back-rower Selasi Berdie – who was called up at late notice to replace Tweed Heads teammate Luke Swain – had a brilliant afternoon, scoring 1 try and winning man-of-the-match honours.
